Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of critical product components.
- Build reliable full-stack features that improve user efficiency.
- Evaluate, benchmark, fine-tune, and integrate AI and LLM capabilities in production.
- Experiment with model releases, frameworks, and agentic techniques, iterating based on data and user feedback.
- Improve complex legacy codebases by adding structure and scalability.
- Engineer infrastructure and automation for heavy data and AI workloads.
- Collaborate closely with founders and teammates as a hands-on, high-ownership contributor.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML and LLM systems, including benchmarking, fine-tuning, and production integration.
- Practical logistics or freight-forwarding domain knowledge.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills across backend and cloud environments.
- Fluency in Python; familiarity with Go is a strong plus.
- A proven track record building robust real-world production systems.
- Experience navigating complex legacy codebases, automating systems, and engineering for scale.
- Startup or entrepreneurial experience with strong ownership and adaptability.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, intellectual humility, and exceptional self-discipline.
- Around 2 to 3 years of professional experience, with strong project track records also considered.
- Fluent spoken English for technical discussions.
- Willingness to work on-site in Munich or relocate.
Benefits
- Salary range of 60,000 to 90,000 EUR annually.
- Equity participation via options of up to approximately 1.5% is available as part of the early-hire package.
- On-site role in Munich, Bavaria, Germany; not remote.
