Base Salary
$170k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of a full-stack RCM worklist platform spanning the UI, backend services, APIs, and data model.
- Build event-driven services and workflows that route, prioritize, and track work across people and AI agents.
- Design and maintain API and translation layers connecting the platform with EverHealth products, its clearinghouse, and third-party systems.
- Develop application code that invokes, coordinates, and monitors AI agents, including guardrails, human-review steps, and observability.
- Own data modeling and schema design, including performant SQL and effective ORM usage.
- Partner with end users, product, operations, and business leaders to understand workflows, define problems, and measure outcomes.
- Help set technical direction and engineering standards while mentoring engineers through code review, pairing, and design discussions.
- Promote AI-assisted development across planning, design, coding, testing, review, and operations.
- Build secure, reliable, HIPAA-compliant software supported by testing, monitoring, and operational practices.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation, AI, and new product experiences across EverHealth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leading technical direction for a team.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent languages, with experience shipping production systems across UI, backend, and APIs.
- Experience designing and building event-based systems such as message queues, event streams, and asynchronous workflows.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern databases, ORMs, and schema design.
- Ability to productively leverage AI across the software development lifecycle.
- Product engineering mindset focused on solving user problems and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and translate their needs into working software.
- Comfort working on a small team with high ownership and evolving scope.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into production software, including orchestration, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Preferred: healthcare or RCM experience involving claims, EDI 837/835, eligibility, denial and A/R workflows, and HIPAA.
