Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver software improvements for Office 365 government cloud services.
- Own deployment, availability, reliability, performance, and customer escalation targets for sovereign environments.
- Develop automation, monitoring, alerting, instrumentation, and telemetry pipelines for large-scale systems.
- Analyze production telemetry, capacity data, and performance metrics to identify and implement reliability and efficiency improvements.
- Troubleshoot incidents, participate in on-call rotations, deploy fixes, conduct root-cause analysis, and produce post-mortem reports.
- Collaborate with product engineering and program management teams on architecture, code reviews, design reviews, and feature releases.
- Reduce recurring operational issues through software-based solutions, testing, automation, and scalable system design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration; or a master’s degree and 1+ year of such experience; or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of technical experience with large-scale cloud or distributed systems is preferred.
- Candidates must have an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and be able to satisfy required Microsoft, customer, and government security screenings.
- U.S. citizenship verification is required because of citizenship-based legal restrictions.
- Candidates must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
