Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Debug products using code, logs, telemetry, and other diagnostic methods, including retrospective root-cause analysis.
- Operate live services on a rotational on-call basis, implement mitigations, escalate issues, and write postmortems.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual by monitoring services, responding within SLA timeframes, and driving incident-volume reduction.
- Integrate instrumentation and create telemetry outputs such as notifications and dashboards.
- Collect, classify, and analyze system metrics to inform product refinement and engineering decisions.
- Build, enhance, reuse, and contribute to software developer tools for creating, debugging, and maintaining products.
- Define and develop standardized, repeatable, scalable solutions and share tools, practices, and strategies with other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness and eligibility to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph; candidates must maintain the required clearance.
- Successful clearance verification, Microsoft Cloud background check, and verification of U.S. citizenship are required.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with PowerShell, C#, or C++.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed services and on-call responsibilities.
- Preferred: ability to influence broadly toward common goals and priorities, plus ownership of project lifecycles and project management and communication skills.
