Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated UI test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and Cucumber BDD.
- Perform API testing with Postman and Rest Assured, including validation of HTTP payloads, JSON schemas, and backend data flows.
- Execute SQL queries for backend database and ETL validation.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and debug and fix automation framework and test script issues.
- Integrate UI, API, and database test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Communicate testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Require 6–10 years of hands-on automation testing experience in banking projects.
- Require at least six years of hands-on automation experience with Java, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, and Cucumber BDD.
- Require at least four years of UI and API automation, test automation framework development, and test process implementation experience.
- Require strong experience with Rest Assured for API automation testing.
- Require the ability to write complex SQL queries for MySQL database and ETL verification.
- Require experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions for automated test execution and integration.
- Banking domain experience is highly preferred.
- Generative AI testing knowledge and Playwright automation experience are helpful additional qualifications.
Benefits
- Permanent role with a base salary of CAD 60,000–90,000 per year and eligibility for a discretionary annual performance-based bonus.
