Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and Cucumber BDD.
- Automate UI and API test scenarios to improve test coverage, accuracy, and execution efficiency.
- Conduct API testing using REST Assured, ReadyAPI, and REST/SOAP services.
- Develop REST API automation scripts using the REST Assured framework.
- Review test execution results, identify defects, and debug and fix automation framework and test-script issues.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and Maven.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Communicate testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of hands-on automation testing experience for banking projects.
- At least 5 years of hands-on automation experience using Java, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, and Cucumber BDD.
- Proficiency in Java, including object-oriented programming, collections, multithreading, and exception handling.
- Experience with modern Java versions and REST Assured for API automation testing.
- Knowledge of API testing concepts, including status codes, headers, payloads, and OAuth, JWT, and Basic Auth authentication.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines through GitLab, Jenkins, or Maven.
- Experience with bug-tracking and test-management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Banking domain experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted automation tools is a plus.
