D360 Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Build and deploy Data 360 implementations in customer sandboxes and production environments using configuration, SQL, Apex, Flow, Python, APIs, Salesforce DX, CLI, Git, Data Kits, and deployment tooling.
- Build ingestion, harmonization, identity-resolution, data-modeling, and activation solutions across batch and streaming sources while optimizing latency and cost.
- Design and maintain AI data-integration layers involving RAG, vector databases, search indexes, embedding pipelines, and knowledge bases.
- Implement MCP and agent-to-agent communication protocols and connect Agentforce with enterprise applications and AI agents.
- Apply secure authentication, authorization, data governance, message-queue, event-driven, and distributed-systems patterns.
- Create representative test data and validate happy paths, edge cases, access boundaries, failure conditions, and customer-scale volumes.
- Troubleshoot ingestion, mapping, schema, identity, query, activation, API, permission, and consumption issues using logs and query evidence.
- Document implementation decisions, package reusable metadata and scripts, support deployment and stabilization, and provide reproducible platform-gap feedback to Product and Support.
- Co-build with customer technical teams and partners through pairing, code reviews, configuration reviews, production handoff, and runbook creation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation, including a production data solution that can be explained in detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data 360/Data Cloud or a comparable enterprise data platform across ingestion, modeling, identity, insight, activation, and operations.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms or technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, cloud object storage, or enterprise MDM platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL, including multi-table queries, joins, filters, transformations, optimization, and validation checks.
- Fluency in at least one of Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript, with willingness to learn the others.
- Understanding of data modeling, APIs, integration patterns, batch and streaming processing, and copied, federated, and Zero Copy data access.
- Experience building AI retrieval systems such as vector databases, search indexes, embedding pipelines, or knowledge bases, including chunking, indexing, and relevance decisions.
- Experience implementing secure service-to-service integrations using OAuth, SAML, and event-driven architectures, plus familiarity with MCP and agent-to-agent communication.
- Ability to implement and rigorously test secure data access involving permissions, entitlements, consent, user context, restricted populations, and negative test cases.
- Methodical technical diagnosis using logs and query evidence, with the ability to distinguish product behavior from configuration errors.
- Ability to implement against documented architecture, explain implementations to customer technical teams, and identify when architect or security-owner input is needed.
- Experience delivering alongside customers, partners, professional services, or internal implementation teams in deadline-driven environments.
- Relevant certifications in Salesforce Agentforce, Data 360, and the Salesforce Platform are expected or valued.
