Base Salary
$93k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and operation of innovative digital solutions.
- Architect and build scalable cloud-native, microservices-based applications using event-driven architecture.
- Develop server-side applications and RESTful APIs with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Express.
- Design and optimize data models and queries across relational and non-relational databases.
- Contribute to technical direction and translate business requirements into maintainable software solutions.
- Collaborate with Digital, Data and Analytics, Platform Engineering, architects, product teams, and other cross-functional partners.
- Mentor peers and promote enterprise-grade testing, code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on enterprise-level digital solutions.
- 3+ years of hands-on Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript experience, including asynchronous programming and server-side development.
- 2+ years of experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions, preferably with AWS.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications.
- Proficiency with unit testing, integration testing, and code review practices.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, and MongoDB, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, message brokers, and event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.
- Experience building RESTful APIs with middleware and routing, including the Express framework.
- Understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-native database technologies.
- Familiarity with emerging AI technologies, serverless architectures, cloud-native design patterns, and modern development tooling.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; alternatively, a high school diploma plus four years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Agile methodologies; cross-functional collaboration; problem-solving; and technical communication.
