Responsibilities
- Define engineering standards and quality benchmarks across the organization.
- Own production readiness end-to-end, ensuring testability and observability from day one.
- Architect for testability and modularity at scale, promoting clean interfaces and dependency inversion.
- Manage the CI/CD pipeline and release infrastructure, implementing safe deployment strategies.
- Establish feature flag practices for controlled experimentation and fast recovery.
- Enhance developer velocity by identifying and eliminating friction in the development lifecycle.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency and maintain engineering rigor.
- Act as the technical liaison among Clinical, ML, and Product teams to clarify requirements.
- Prioritize patient safety in all architectural decisions and deployment practices.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with production ownership at scale.
- Proven track record across multiple technology generations.
- Deep backend fluency in Python, Go, or Java; comfortable across the full stack.
- Strong command of software design principles like modularity and testability.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines in production.
- Experience with feature flags and deployment strategies like canary and blue/green.
- Demonstrated impact on improving developer experience and tooling.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong communication skills across engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders.
- Commitment to software safety and patient-centered outcomes.
