Responsibilities
- Own the technical quality of the Data & AI Platform’s infrastructure, tooling, and automation from design through delivery and sustainment.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure as code and platform automation for data pipelines, warehousing, orchestration, and AI/ML workloads.
- Partner with Data Engineering to translate pipeline, workflow, and system requirements into infrastructure and automation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment tooling for the data platform.
- Design observability, alerting, and incident-response practices for data platform workloads.
- Design governance, access, and security policies for data platform infrastructure with security and data engineering stakeholders.
- Guide Data Engineering on infrastructure and deployment best practices.
- Contribute to broader DevOps initiatives, shared infrastructure, platform standards, automation, security, reliability, and operational practices.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow, with experience building and operating them at scale.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS, Terraform, containerization, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD tooling and practices.
- Experience designing and running observability, alerting, and incident-response practices for data or data-adjacent systems.
- Strong DevOps expertise applied to data platform systems, including automation, security, reliability, and repeatability.
- Strong communication and leadership skills focused on collaboration and technical excellence.
- A learning mindset and interest in emerging DevOps and data infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with security, compliance, and governance related to data systems is a plus.
