Base Salary
$160k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend and infrastructure systems.
- Develop and maintain services that support real-time and batch data processing.
- Contribute to core platform components including compute, storage, orchestration, and tooling.
- Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across services and workflows.
- Collaborate with data and ML teams to support data ingestion, processing, and production use cases.
- Optimize systems for scalability, cost, and efficiency in cloud environments.
- Build internal tools and abstractions that improve developer velocity and system consistency.
- Contribute to secure and compliant infrastructure design.
Requirements
- 3–7+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Familiarity with real-time or batch data processing systems like Kafka or Spark.
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and distributed storage systems.
- Ability to work across the stack and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment with high ownership.
