Base Salary

$162k - $204k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership for software design processes serving internal and external consumers.
  • Provide technical project management to test engineers and support teams.
  • Contribute hands-on software engineering using modern design practices, patterns, and frameworks.
  • Build, deploy, monitor, and manage highly available production systems.
  • Implement platform components including event architectures, messaging, caching solutions, REST APIs, services, system tasks, and cloud solutions.
  • Identify bottlenecks and architectural risks while improving application performance and reliability.
  • Influence technical solutions, coach less experienced scrum team members, and communicate key issues and action plans to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science or a related field plus six years of qualifying experience.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree plus four years of qualifying experience, or a Ph.D. plus one year of qualifying experience.
  • Six years of experience developing backend software in Node.js or Python.
  • Six years of experience with architecture, design patterns, Angular or React, React web applications, databases including Postgres or AuroraDB, and AWS technologies such as ECS, S3, AuroraDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, or Lambda.
  • Six years of experience identifying system bottlenecks and architectural risks.
  • Experience may be acquired concurrently.
