Base Salary
$180k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain primarily AWS-based multi-cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
- Define and implement infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, and similar technologies.
- Design and manage Kubernetes systems for model training, inference, and data-processing workloads.
- Optimize deployment pipelines and streamline service deployments across environments.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for availability and observability.
- Provide infrastructure support for large-scale machine learning model training.
- Support cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployment models for enterprise use cases.
- Drive cost-efficiency strategies for compute and storage resources.
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents with ownership and urgency.
Requirements
- Experience leading or helping build robust infrastructure systems at a startup or fast-moving engineering organization.
- Deep experience with cloud providers, especially AWS, with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud exposure preferred.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and containerized architectures.
- Ability to debug systems-level issues involving networking, memory leaks, and resource bottlenecks.
- Proficiency writing clean, maintainable scripts in Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience supporting ML infrastructure, including training pipelines, inference clusters, or GPU orchestration, is preferred.
- Experience building or scaling infrastructure for large-scale datasets is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud cost monitoring and optimization tools is preferred.
- Background supporting compliance and security in enterprise deployments is preferred.
