Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build AI-native intelligent operations using AI tools, LLMs, and generative AI to automate Azure capacity planning, deployment, and operations.
- Own the architecture and design of distributed-system solutions meeting performance, scalability, resiliency, cost, and disaster-recovery requirements.
- Write, review, and maintain extensible, secure, performant, and well-tested code while coaching other engineers through code reviews.
- Drive production and deployment automation, safe change practices, flighting, and rollback plans.
- Integrate logging, telemetry, and monitoring; participate in on-call rotation and lead incident retrospectives.
- Apply security-as-code principles, define security invariants and threat models, and implement AI safety features.
- Coordinate with partner teams on dependencies, testing, performance, escalation pathways, and production readiness.
- Partner with product, program, and security stakeholders to understand requirements and advocate for customer security and privacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass Microsoft and applicable customer or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong full-stack development experience with Angular, Python, C#/.NET, and SQL.
- Experience building AI agent systems and LLM applications using RAG, DAGs, function or tool calling, and chat-completion APIs.
- Hands-on experience with vector search, knowledge graphs, MCPs, Microsoft Azure architecture, deployment, and management.
- Experience with NL-to-SQL, prompt and context design, tools, and evaluation accuracy.
- Experience designing AI evaluation harnesses, LLM-as-judge systems, scoring, and regression gating.
- Ability to own and ship significant features or architectural components end to end and collaborate effectively across teams.
