Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications, microservices, and APIs.
- Implement third-party integrations and external APIs.
- Develop, test, and deliver client-facing, production-ready features.
- Ensure backend systems are secure, well-documented, thoroughly tested, scalable, and performant.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences and business stakeholders to translate goals into technical architecture and requirements.
- Estimate product scope and timelines and contribute across different parts of the stack as needed.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of cloud-based services, service design patterns, data structures, and data integrations.
- Experience with Node.js/TypeScript or similar languages, AWS, Terraform, and React.
- Strong understanding of production-system layers including data, internal and third-party integrations, testing, and user-facing clients.
- Experience building highly scalable and performant backend services is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, hypergrowth, collaborative environment.
- Healthcare or virtual-care experience is preferred; FHIR experience is a bonus.
- Understanding of web and mobile use cases and willingness to work across the stack.
- Collaborative, client-friendly approach to API design and communication.
