Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and architecture of complex frontend features and translate product requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop high-performance React and Next.js applications with pixel-perfect UI implementations.
- Drive frontend performance optimization, monitoring, profiling, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
- Build and maintain reusable component libraries, design systems, and utility functions.
- Ensure UI/UX technical feasibility while balancing aesthetics, performance, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
- Champion code quality, testing, accessibility, maintainability, and collaborative development practices.
- Lead adoption of AI-assisted development tools, establish team best practices, and mentor engineers on their use.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to team and platform-level architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams on API contracts, data fetching, and deployment pipelines.
- Debug and optimize third-party libraries and evaluate frontend ecosystem trends and emerging tools.
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in React and TypeScript, including hooks, state management, and TypeScript best practices.
- Deep expertise in Next.js, including server-side rendering, incremental static regeneration, API routes, middleware, and optimization strategies.
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, ES6+, async/await, functional programming, CSS, responsive design, and frontend build tools.
- Experience with state management, component architecture, micro-frontends, module federation, reusable libraries, and design systems.
- Experience with frontend performance metrics, profiling tools, monitoring, observability, error tracking, caching, lazy loading, and code splitting.
- Expertise with testing frameworks and practices including unit, component, end-to-end, and cross-browser testing.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, design patterns, SOLID principles, and code quality tooling.
- Working knowledge of Node.js, backend fundamentals, API design, authentication, and server-side implications.
- Familiarity with headless CMS, GraphQL, SEO, Storybook, design tokens, animation libraries, hybrid mobile technologies, or AI/LLM integrations is a plus.
- BTech or MTech in Computer Science or equivalent, with 3–5 years of experience in a product development company.
