Responsibilities
- Support the IBCS System Team’s Agile development environment and Continuous Delivery Pipeline for multiple software baselines.
- Collaborate with software, systems, DevOps, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to improve end-to-end delivery workflows.
- Apply DevOps concepts and best practices to software delivery pipelines, including hands-on technical tasks and coordination or facilitation.
- Identify roadblocks, track actions, drive issues to closure, and coordinate work across teams without direct line authority.
- Communicate technical issues, options, impacts, priorities, and commitments to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain technical credibility across multiple disciplines while supporting mission-critical command-and-control software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a STEM master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a STEM PhD with 0 years of experience for the Principal Software Engineer level.
- Strong experience with CI/CD concepts and implementation, virtualized environments, virtual machines, containerization technologies, and container orchestration platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible playbooks, Ansible Automation Platform, Jenkins or similar CI/CD automation tools, and Sonatype Nexus or similar artifact repository managers.
- Proficiency in Linux-based development and runtime environments and experience with Git or GitLab.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification and an active Secret clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include Python automation, CI/CD experience in classified or highly controlled environments, test-bench and benchmarking pipeline experience, and experience defining CI/CD requirements, user stories, and use cases.
- U.S. citizenship is required for positions requiring government clearance.
Benefits
- Base salary ranges are $108,800.00–$163,200.00 for the primary level and $135,800.00–$203,600.00 for the secondary level.

- Additional eligibility may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
- The position is in Huntsville, Alabama, requires 10% travel, and offers no relocation assistance.
