Responsibilities
- Develop, own, design, implement, and test scalable full-stack solutions in a high-throughput, low-latency microservices environment.
- Translate product user stories and requirements into actionable technical implementations and lead the team through execution.
- Apply system, API, code, and design best practices focused on scalability, maintainability, loose coupling, encapsulation, and testability.
- Serve as a domain point of contact for stakeholders, facilitate technical discussions, drive resolution, and communicate outcomes clearly.
- Mentor and support peers while leading by example and improving code and system design.
- Define technical and operational metrics and enhance observability through metrics, monitors, and alerts.
- Identify system optimizations and enhancements and participate in on-call rotations according to team policy.
- Use automated AI tools in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant work experience.
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Java, including memory management, multithreading, profiling, thread pools, connection pools, and HTTP protocols.
- Experience with SpringBoot and related Spring projects.
- Experience with non-relational databases such as DynamoDB.
- Experience with caching datastores such as Redis, ValKey, or MemCache.
- Experience with data streaming mechanisms such as Apache Kafka and/or Kinesis.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with microservice architecture.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, teamwork, project ownership, and mentoring abilities.
