Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java.
- Execute software design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain application algorithms.
- Contribute to application architecture and design artifacts while meeting software design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and technology events.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Guide peers on responsible and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, React, and REST services.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Jira, and similar development tools.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and technical processes within a technical discipline.
- Understanding of application resiliency and security practices.
- Proficiency with AI tools and enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
