Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support large-scale, multi-tiered software applications and tools.
- Create and deliver software and automated solutions for inbound inventory processing in Amazon fulfillment centers.
- Design reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems that optimize customer-order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and influence subsystem design.
- Support software systems that interact with conveyors, robots, machines, and fulfillment-center associates.
- Contribute to team culture and engineering practices focused on product quality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and databases.
- Ability to write high-quality object-oriented code, preferably in C, C++, or Java.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
