Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent packaging workflows and machine learning-powered platforms.
- Build and maintain core infrastructure, production services, and tools supporting packaging engines, test labs, fulfillment centers, and field operations.
- Partner with product leaders, ML scientists, vendors, sellers, private-label teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to influence packaging strategy and sustainability goals.
- Drive system architecture decisions and establish practices for code quality, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design and support large-scale distributed and real-time software systems.
- Coach junior engineers and lead by example in technical design and software development.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
