Responsibilities
- Develop features across APIs, background workers, importers, schedulers, and event-driven services.
- Integrate internal and external platforms through HTTP APIs, messaging systems, and data pipelines.
- Ensure code quality through clean design, code reviews, automated tests, and observability practices.
- Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and performance of distributed applications in production.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and engineering teams to turn needs into technical solutions.
- Write technical documentation and share knowledge with the team.
- Conduct technical interviews with prospective developers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience building and maintaining APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed backend systems.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting integrations over HTTP.
- Strong focus on code quality, including unit tests, integration tests, and production readiness.
- Comfort working with concurrency, resiliency, failure handling, and operational constraints.
- Fluent English and a pragmatic, product-minded approach.
- Experience with monitoring, operational support, incident management, observability, and A/B testing is valuable.
- Nice-to-have experience includes DDD, Clean Architecture, modular backend design, Dapper, SQL-heavy applications, distributed workers, schedulers, batch or import pipelines, production troubleshooting, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AI-related systems such as LLMs, agents, or MCP.
