Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, technical discovery, demos, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay field feedback to the product team, improve solutions and processes, mentor Solutions Consulting team members, and demonstrate thought leadership through publications and public speaking.
- Maintain ongoing product and industry knowledge through training and professional development.
Requirements
- Ideally 12+ years of related customer-facing experience and a minimum of 7 years of pre-sales experience with complex enterprise software sales cycles.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages, including Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to review complex application architectures and recommend technology improvements.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging technical and business leadership.
- Experience presenting at industry conferences or publishing articles, papers, or blog posts demonstrating thought leadership.
- Ability to collaborate with regional sales leadership to develop growth strategies across multiple sales representatives, accounts, or industry verticals.
- Strong understanding of sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.
- Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, SRE practices, organizational enablement, MongoDB Certification, or Cloud Provider Certification.
