Responsibilities
- Define and document the overall architecture for a scalable, secure, and resilient Java Spring Boot microservices application.
- Design relational database architectures for financial transactions, with a focus on integrity, scalability, and performance.
- Oversee ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across internal and external systems.
- Design secure, performant, and reliable APIs for account management, transaction processing, and customer communication.
- Establish Docker and Kubernetes containerization strategies for portable deployment across major cloud providers.
- Create architectural standards and guidelines for microservices development, integration, and delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with product engineering and DevOps teams to align business requirements with technical solutions.
- Develop strategies for high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, automated monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
- Ensure API and data handling comply with relevant regulations and standards, including PCI DSS and GDPR.
- Evaluate technology stacks, frameworks, and tools, and mentor development teams on architectural best practices and cloud-native patterns.
- Continuously assess and improve the application architecture as business needs and cloud technologies evolve.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of enterprise architecture experience, including large-scale Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Deep understanding of API design, RESTful services, and secure integrations.
- Extensive database design, optimization, and management experience with SQL or NoSQL systems.
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of security compliance and data privacy for financial applications.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization in distributed systems.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is preferred.
- Expertise with API gateways, service mesh, and cloud-native security solutions is preferred.
- Cloud architecture certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Architect are preferred.
- Background in roadside tolling, fintech, or financial services is preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and business-to-technical translation skills.
