Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable frontend solutions using modern React patterns.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to define and implement user-focused features, API contracts, and edge-case handling.
- Build reusable UI components and contribute to component libraries, design-system standards, styling conventions, and documentation.
- Maintain code quality through pull requests, code reviews, automated testing, and developer documentation.
- Optimize application speed and reliability, including Core Web Vitals, bundle size, rendering performance, and responsive behavior.
- Implement WCAG-aligned accessibility practices in component design, interaction patterns, and QA workflows.
- Participate in architecture discussions and define frontend standards for state management, data fetching, routing, and error handling.
- Maintain build pipelines, configure tools such as Vite, upgrade dependencies, and troubleshoot CI/CD issues.
- Mentor and support engineers through pairing, technical guidance, and practical patterns.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend teams on error states, pagination, authentication, and caching.
- Diagnose and improve frontend performance using browser debugging, profiling, and production monitoring tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of frontend development experience building production web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks, including React.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with state management and scalable frontend architecture patterns such as Redux or Redux Toolkit.
- Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams.
- Experience with testing practices and tools such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Enzyme, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with source control and CI/CD workflows, including GitHub or GitLab, automated builds, linting, test pipelines, and release processes.
- Experience diagnosing and improving performance through browser debugging, profiling tools, and production monitoring.
- Preferred experience building and deploying Web SDKs.
- Preferred knowledge of Decentralized Identity, Identity & Access Management, OAuth, and OIDC concepts.
- Preferred experience working with platform technologies such as Kubernetes, Cassandra, Kafka, and Redis.
- Preferred familiarity with WCAG, internationalization tooling, i18next, and formatjs/react-intl.
- Preferred experience with New Relic, LaunchDarkly, Sentry, Datadog RUM, or OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred experience with React 18+, Next.js, Remix, Vite, code-splitting, SSR, ISR, component libraries, and documentation tooling.
