Responsibilities

Architect, develop, deploy, and optimize APIs and microservices for high availability, scalability, and performance.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, and DevOps teams on API guidelines, governance models, and integration patterns.
Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, OAuth2, JWT, and API key management standards.
Use caching, rate limiting, Prometheus, and Grafana to improve throughput, reduce latency, and detect issues proactively.
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices in API design and microservices architecture.
Deploy and orchestrate containerized microservices using cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Integrate APIs with Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake for analytics and real-time data processing.
Create developer documentation, implement thorough testing, and support reliable API experiences.
Track emerging API development, serverless, edge computing, and security framework trends.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.
At least 5 years of API development experience focused on RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Proficiency in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
Hands-on experience with Mulesoft, Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, or Azure API Management.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns.
Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
Advanced knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and API key management.
Familiarity with caching, load balancing, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake.
Preferred experience with AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure Functions, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven frameworks.
Preferred understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
Agile development experience, healthcare industry experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor and guide team members are preferred.
