Responsibilities
- Develop the Java backend for NAVER WEBTOON services.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture design.
- Build and support backend systems for large-scale, high-traffic projects.
- Collaborate proactively with teammates and demonstrate strong commitment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend systems experience with Java applications serving large-scale, high-traffic projects.
- At least 3 years of experience with the Java Spring Framework.
- Experience or strong knowledge of microservice architecture and Kubernetes.
- Experience or strong knowledge of at least one database, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Experience with a message queue such as Kafka.
- Understanding and experience with data structures, algorithms, distributed services, and object-oriented programming.
- Strong communication skills and good English proficiency.
- Open-minded, honest, and positive approach to working with people.
- DevOps and CI/CD experience is a plus.
- ELK Stack experience is a plus.
- Experience with distributed systems such as HBase or Vitese is a plus.
- Experience designing server architecture for massive traffic is a plus.
- Korean proficiency is preferred.
