Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Scrum team members to execute software quality responsibilities and translate business requirements into comprehensive testing coverage.
- Expand test automation framework capabilities for Charles River products and services.
- Create pipelines for automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
- Maintain automated and manual test script libraries and execute tests against web, native/desktop, API, and batch applications.
- Maintain and expand testing labs and conduct staging and product media certification during release shipment.
- Interpret automation results, document defects, and communicate issues to development and project teams.
- Identify QA process improvements, research new testing automation approaches, and support release testing schedules.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and testathon activities.
- Guide and mentor junior staff in automated test script creation and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, another technical field, or Business with an MIS background; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience building test automation frameworks in enterprise and process-driven technology environments.
- Experience programming with Java, SQL, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience implementing automation frameworks with tools such as Rest Assured, Playwright, Azure SDK, Kafka SDK, Cosmos DB, Swagger, Silk4Net, FlaUI, and Talend.
- Experience creating and updating on-demand pipelines, preferably with TeamCity, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo CD.
- Experience using test cases, scripts, and automated testing tools to verify requirements on multi-tier applications.
- At least three years of experience working with an Agile development methodology is strongly desired.
- Financial services industry experience and knowledge of one or more Charles River functional areas are preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to mentor others are required.
