Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead front-end technology delivery for Credit Portfolio Trading and Systematic Trading desks.
- Design, develop, and evolve real-time trading, analytics, and workflow applications with a focus on usability, responsiveness, and performance.
- Architect scalable user interfaces, micro-front-end solutions, reusable components, and shared design systems.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and event-driven, messaging, and data platforms.
- Partner with traders, quants, UX, designers, product stakeholders, and technology teams to translate business needs into software solutions.
- Establish and enforce standards for front-end coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and support.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate or review work as needed.
- Assess delivery and technology risks and manage control issues in accordance with Citi policies, regulatory expectations, and secure development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 6–10 years of application development or systems analysis experience, including 5 or more years of front-end/UI development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with HTML5, React, and/or Angular.
- 3–5 years of experience building large-scale distributed applications using Python or Java, including back-end services for real-time or data-intensive workflows.
- Experience building trading, pricing, or real-time analytics applications in low-latency, high-throughput environments.
- Experience supporting credit markets, fixed income, derivatives, or other secondary trading businesses.
- Experience with micro-front-end architectures, reusable UI frameworks, and contextualization technologies such as FDC3.
- Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs and event-driven or messaging/data platforms such as Kafka, Solace, Redis, Elasticsearch, or Pinot.
- Proficiency with Git and familiarity with SDLC concepts and Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
- Demonstrated leadership, ownership, autonomy, communication, rapid learning, prioritization, and delivery under tight timelines.
- Rapid prototyping or wireframing experience such as Figma, Python full-stack experience, or Streamlit experience is preferred.
- Experience working directly with traders and quants and driving adoption of shared UI frameworks and design systems is preferred.
