Responsibilities
- Ensure site uptime by maintaining internal-facing services and platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to architect scalable and reliable products.
- Debug reliability and scalability issues across all stack layers.
- Develop infrastructure as code using Chef, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Create deployment pipelines for applications in multiple languages.
- Manage incidents and respond to availability issues on a PagerDuty rotation.
- Retrospect incidents to implement system improvements and automation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Software, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Strong understanding of systems, including interfaces and failure modes.
- Ability to collaborate and document effectively across remote teams.
- Proficiency in Linux and Unix Shell.
- Strong programming skills in Ruby and/or Go.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar IaC technologies.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, Postgres, or similar data technologies.
