Responsibilities
- Contribute to test plans, test strategies, test planning, estimation, prioritization, and risk-based testing.
- Analyze requirements and user stories to derive manual and automated test coverage.
- Execute manual, exploratory, and automated tests and report quality risks.
- Create, enhance, and maintain automated tests and the test automation framework using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Produce defect reports and test completion reports and support release activities.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to resolve issues and keep progress and risks visible.
- Recommend quality and process improvements through continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Practical experience in a quality assurance or test automation role involving manual and automated testing.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated tests with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Understanding of software testing principles, test planning, estimation, prioritization, and risk-based testing.
- Familiarity with agile development environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, ideally in complex systems.
- Exposure to agile testing practices such as BDD, TDD, or similar approaches.
- Ability to analyze requirements and user stories and identify risks and appropriate test coverage.
- UNIX and SQL skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Interest in AI and experience using AI tools are bonus qualifications.
- Experience in global online business, fintech, payments, or other complex industries is a bonus.
