Responsibilities
- Design Git-native branching, merge, and pull-request workflows that translate ChangeMan SCM concepts into Git idioms.
- Build CI/CD platform engineering capabilities, including trunk-based development support, GitOps deployment interfaces, and reusable delivery patterns.
- Design and build a control plane or abstraction layer connecting mainframe and open-systems delivery targets.
- Develop the VSCode extension and Git integration roadmap.
- Partner with the mainframe and ChangeMan team to keep both delivery environments synchronized.
Requirements
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills with hands-on experience building VSCode extensions.
- Deep Git experience, including branching and merge models and Git internals beyond CLI usage.
- Solid CI/CD engineering experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing REST APIs and integrating with backend systems not controlled end-to-end.
- Working experience with a cloud platform such as AWS or Azure.
- Preferred: experience building GitOps-based deployment models.
- Preferred: experience with microservices delivery patterns and trunk-based development.
- Preferred: experience designing platform or control-plane abstractions for hybrid or multi-target delivery.
