Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Kotlin backend services using Spring Boot on AWS.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs serving millions of customers across web and mobile platforms.
- Develop and optimize services for card pay-in payment methods.
- Design database schemas and optimize SQL queries for high-volume PostgreSQL transactional databases.
- Build and maintain Apache Kafka event-driven architectures for asynchronous financial-event processing.
- Develop and maintain payment orchestration systems that route payments across Payment Service Providers.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering, security, and quality standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations for Tier 2 production incidents.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineers on cross-functional projects.
- Resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and technical debt.
- Apply security best practices for sensitive financial data and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Backend software engineering experience with Java and Kotlin.
- Experience developing services with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL databases and SQL queries.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka.
- Experience developing or maintaining high-scale, distributed financial or payment systems.
- Ability to write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Ability to participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and production incident response.
- Understanding of security practices for sensitive financial data and financial regulations.
