Responsibilities
- Design, test, code, instrument, and implement new software solutions with minimal support.
- Mentor junior engineers and new team members through technical challenges and team processes.
- Monitor operational and quality metrics, identify bottlenecks, and improve service performance and system health.
- Support production systems through proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to produce readable, maintainable code covered by comprehensive test suites.
- Strengthen engineering practices using TDD, BDD, microservice architecture, and vertical slice architecture.
- Use AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency and maintain code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Proficiency with C# and, where applicable, Python.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID, and software design principles.
- Experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Kafka, and modern relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn modern technologies and integrate AI/ML-driven development workflows into the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GraphQL, ASP.NET RESTful API design, Angular, or React is preferred or can be learned quickly.
