Responsibilities
- Develop high-throughput, maintainable backend services and API integrations using Node.js, TypeScript, or Go.
- Design resilient, fast, and cost-efficient cloud-native microservices and serverless workflows.
- Own features from design and technical RFCs through development, automated testing, and production deployment.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor teammates, and improve observability, telemetry, alerting, and operational standards.
- Identify bottlenecks across storage, databases, and network layers to minimize platform latency.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building production-grade backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, Node.js, or Go.
- Experience architecting and deploying services on AWS, including services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, and RDS.
- Understanding of distributed systems, API design, caching strategies, and telemetry tools such as Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
- Commitment to automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing and continuous deployment practices.
- Strong asynchronous communication skills and a preference for iterative work in agile environments.
