Responsibilities
- Design and build Java and Spring Boot applications.
- Design technical architecture spanning multiple domains, including system integration and authentication.
- Develop secure, scalable, reliable, and performant backend services, APIs, and event-driven capabilities.
- Manage the software development lifecycle and monitor configuration, development, and testing activities.
- Articulate architecture trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership, training, documentation, and support for the growth of other engineers.
- Advise development teams and product managers on engineering solutions and manage multiple sprint priorities.
- Work with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams and support production systems.
Requirements
- Degree-level IT qualifications in Software or Systems Engineering.
- Expert-level Java experience and experience with JavaScript, Angular, or React.
- Strong hands-on development and testing experience with Spring Boot and microservice-oriented applications.
- Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud systems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with at least one build server, such as Bamboo, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Linux.
- Understanding of CRM Product Model, order decomposition, and order orchestration.
- Understanding of design patterns and their practical application.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, collaboration, and accountability skills.
- Cloud experience, especially AWS and services including Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, RDS, PostgreSQL, S3, SQS, SNS, and Kinesis, is desirable.
- Salesforce and Apex knowledge is desirable.
- Experience with Apigee, Nginx, or a similar API gateway is desirable.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, change management, and production support is desirable.
