Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance backend services using PHP and Laravel.
- Build modular, efficient, reusable front-end and back-end systems.
- Maintain real-time data feeds and APIs and support third-party integrations.
- Implement libraries and optimize code for performance, robustness, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Customer Success Managers, and Software Engineers.
- Participate in design discussions, feature planning, code reviews, and detailed code analysis.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including work on hosted web applications or SaaS.
- Strong programming skills in PHP with Laravel and HTML, with exposure to React.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, unit testing, design patterns, and web application design principles.
- Knowledge of database design, database performance, and SQL.
- Understanding of versioning tools and experience contributing to feature planning and system design.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with React and React Native; familiarity with AWS Lambda or Firebase, OAuth or JWT, performance optimization, Redis, Jest, PHPUnit, or Selenium is advantageous.
- High maturity using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent in the day-to-day development workflow.
