Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Build, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
- Analyze and resolve automation, environment, and test execution issues.
- Review automation scripts and results for adherence to standards and best practices.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve requirement analysis, test design, automation development, and QA productivity.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and document defects, test results, and project updates.
- Drive improvements in automation practices, testing processes, and software quality.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation.
- Experience with API testing and automation using Playwright API, Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript; Java experience is required and Python is advantageous.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles and coding best practices.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of software testing, Agile, Scrum or Kanban, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of AI-assisted software testing and experience with tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Windsurf is preferred.
- Additional experience with CI/CD tools, build tools, performance testing, mobile automation, cross-browser testing, Docker, Kubernetes, application security testing, reporting tools, component testing, and cloud-based testing platforms is advantageous.
- Graduation is required.
