Base Salary
$202k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Consult with internal business groups and IT management on application development, technical support, requirements, implementation opportunities, and business issues.
- Architect, design, develop, integrate, and maintain secure, efficient, testable software applications and multi-tenant services.
- Build backend services using Java, Spring, REST, messaging systems, distributed service discovery, in-memory data stores, batch processing, and workload automation tools.
- Build user-interface applications using micro-frontend architecture with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop testing and test-automation suites using JUnit and Mockito, and participate in code reviews.
- Evaluate compliance with technology standards and apply security and privacy principles.
- Guide technical staff on emerging technologies and help define corporate implementation and integration strategies.
- Create flowcharts, layouts, software documentation, and requirements analysis artifacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus 10 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus 8 years of experience; pre- or post-master’s degree experience is accepted.
- At least 8 years of experience architecting multi-tenant cloud services using Java and REST; integrating IBM MQ; building Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS micro-frontends; using JUnit; and analyzing and documenting requirements with Agile development methodologies.
- At least 5 years of experience using Spring with OAuth, SSL, or Kerberos; Apache Zookeeper and Hazelcast; Apache Kafka; Java batch processing, Spring Batch, Autosys, ESP, and Control-M; and Mockito.
- Experience providing senior-level technical consulting, software integration, application testing, security practices, and technology strategy guidance.
