Base Salary
$194k - $352k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop unified, introspectable, large-scale batch and streaming data processing systems for evaluation use cases.
- Create a storage system for the volume and diversity of evaluation and performance metrics.
- Build dashboards and reports that make evaluation comparisons and improvements or regressions easy to identify.
- Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion through final consumption.
- Develop and maintain continuous testing and monitoring systems for data and pipeline integrity and resilience.
- Collaborate with system engineers to validate autonomous-driving systems before deployment.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction on engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. and 4+ years of relevant work experience are required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or similar programming languages is required.
- Experience with large-scale data and building scalable, reliable systems or data pipelines is required.
- Ability to understand and design complex systems is required.
- Experience setting team or project product and technical vision, timelines, and prioritization is required.
- Experience serving formally or informally as a Tech Lead and mentoring or supporting junior engineers is required.
- Ability and willingness to deeply engage with implementation and drive technical standards and best practices across the software organization is required.
- Bonus qualifications include knowledge of GCP, GCS, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, data engineering tooling, batch and streaming processing, warehousing, analytics solutions, distributed data systems, system and framework design, and data workflow orchestration platforms.
