Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures from functional requirements and design specifications.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Robot Framework and Python.
- Configure and operate HIL, SIL, and MIL simulation environments.
- Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and other lab equipment to debug hardware/software interactions.
- Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with firmware developers to verify fixes and perform regression testing.
- Ensure testing processes meet applicable industry-specific standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software testing or development.
- Strong Python or other scripting-language programming skills.
- Experience with embedded RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr, or with bare-metal environments.
- Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN communication protocols.
- Experience with Git, Jira, multimeters, power supplies, and J-Link or similar debuggers.
- Proactive testing mindset, adaptability to evolving hardware and early-stage firmware, and ability to communicate technical bugs clearly.
- German language skills are nice to have.
