Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable domain services, APIs, and event-driven solutions for high-volume digital commerce.
- Own systems across design, deployment, observability, production support, on-call operations, incident response, and reliability improvements.
- Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate solution design, implementation, testing, documentation, and engineering productivity.
- Build secure, resilient, and maintainable software using automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and progressive delivery.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams while mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.
- Develop and integrate Order Management capabilities covering order capture, promising, allocation, fulfillment, invoicing, returns, and customer service.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and supporting production systems in cloud-based or high-traffic digital environments.
- At least 3 years of experience with Order Management Systems, including extensions, configuration, and integrations.
- Experience owning applications through the full software lifecycle, including production support, incident management, and operational excellence.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and experience with APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, containerization technologies, and observability practices.
- Practical experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Experience with event-driven and message-based integration, including Pub/Sub and Kafka.
- Experience with Order Management platforms such as Manhattan Active Omni or IBM Sterling Commerce.
- Deep understanding of omnichannel retail processes and flows.
