Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable software solutions and product improvements for backup, archive, restore, and download services.
- Develop large-scale applications primarily with Java and Kotlin while maintaining high quality standards.
- Own software design and architecture, implement scalable patterns, and collaborate with technology leaders and global engineering teams.
- Commit production code, solve enterprise-scale software challenges, and support high-availability systems serving millions of endpoints.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in the USA and Asia to drive the product roadmap and mentor global engineers.
- Support and enhance production systems for NinjaOne’s SaaS backup offering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience working with highly scalable software systems and solving scaling challenges.
- Strong Kotlin expertise; experience with C# and Ruby is a plus.
- Expertise in object-oriented design, design principles, scalable data structures, API best practices, and relational database design and development.
- Experience with REST service development using Jersey or Spring, caching systems such as Redis, and scalable data stores.
- Knowledge of Big Data, SQL tuning, ETL, Kafka, and data streaming is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of quality testing practices and knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, adaptability, and customer-focused problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with global teams across different time zones is preferred.
