Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation for sales opportunities.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and multi-threaded account strategies.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide field feedback to the product team, improve solutions and processes, and mentor Solutions Consulting team members.
- Complete ongoing training on MongoDB products and relevant industry technologies.
Requirements
- Ideally 8–11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, including 5–7 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures with customers and recommending technology improvements.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to technical and business leadership.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams, align resources, and drive account plans.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Preferred qualifications include database sales or application deployment with major cloud providers, database programming and data modeling, data engineering or AI/ML project experience, legacy-system modernization, MongoDB or cloud-provider certification, and familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
