Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, reviews, and debugs secure production software solutions.
- Leads adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting tools.
- Identifies and automates remediation for recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Leads evaluations of vendor, startup, and internal architectural solutions.
- Leads Software Engineering communities of practice and promotes effective technology patterns.
- Contributes to an inclusive and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant AI-assisted delivery practices.
- Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency and security practices.
- Experience with software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology.
- Experience leading teams of technologists and 10 years of software engineering and architecture experience focused on Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and AWS.
- Experience communicating and engaging with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with API frameworks, microservices frameworks, container technologies, and related workflows.
