Base Salary
$250k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support highly available and scalable centralized reference and master data systems.
- Lead architecture and development of cloud-deployed microservices and improve the team’s technology stack.
- Build MCP servers, agentic workflows, LLM orchestration capabilities, and reusable AI-enabled components.
- Own strategic cross-functional technical initiatives from architecture through delivery.
- Drive improvements in reliability, security, performance, supportability, and latency.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to analyze problems, design solutions, and advocate for best practices.
- Mentor software engineers and promote software engineering, cloud, AI, and modern framework practices.
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in financial services or hedge funds.
- At least three years of experience supporting listed and OTC instruments typical of a multi-strategy fund.
- At least seven years of object-oriented development experience; Java is highly preferred.
- Expertise in software design and architecture, preferably including stateful reactive microservices.
- Practical experience using generative AI for technology delivery and building MCP servers, agentic workflows, and LLM orchestration.
- Experience leading strategic technical initiatives and evaluating architectural tradeoffs.
- Experience with relational and in-memory databases, preferably Postgres or SingleStore.
- Experience with messaging systems, preferably Kafka.
- Experience mentoring software engineers and delivering results with strong ownership.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD and build automation, React, reference and master data management, security masters, and finance markets, economics, or mathematics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
