Base Salary
$120k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java-based pricing services and APIs.
- Build and integrate REST APIs with internal pricing engines and downstream systems.
- Contribute to application and integration architecture.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Trading, IT, and other technology teams on near-real-time client pricing workflows.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
- Provide technical leadership and potentially support more junior developers as the team grows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Quantitative Finance.
- 8–10+ years of software development experience.
- Strong Java development expertise and substantial experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of application and integration architecture.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Capital markets experience with a good understanding of equity products, particularly options and derivatives.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with electronic or real-time pricing applications, pricing engine integrations, Sales or Trading desk support, and technical leadership or mentoring.
