Responsibilities
- Define and drive the target-state architecture and phased roadmap for LeadSquared’s core platform.
- Establish architectural principles, standards, guardrails, and governance across services, APIs, data, and integration layers.
- Evaluate technologies, platforms, patterns, build-versus-buy decisions, consolidation, and modernization options.
- Lead resolution of complex platform challenges involving scale, reliability, data consistency, security, and infrastructure cost.
- Partner with the CTO, engineering, product, business, and customer stakeholders on technical and business alignment.
- Prototype, review designs and code, and remain hands-on with the platform’s hardest technical problems.
- Mentor senior engineers, tech leads, and architects and create scalable coaching, knowledge-sharing, and technical growth mechanisms.
Requirements
- 14–20 years of overall software engineering experience with a significant and recent track record in architecture and technical leadership.
- Experience owning target-state or reference architecture for a large-scale, complex, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern technology stacks, cloud-native services, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies and system-design trade-offs at scale.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud-native architecture practices.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and agentic architecture patterns such as RAG, LLM orchestration, and vector search is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and influence senior engineers and architects without formal reporting authority.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, coaching, and technical-culture-building skills.
