Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver software aligned with requirements and existing system architecture.
- Maintain the existing technology stack and debug and fix issues.
- Build, analyze, and optimize reliable, efficient, and performant backend services primarily in Python and Go.
- Contribute to React-based user interfaces and reusable front-end components when appropriate.
- Collaborate with product management, architects, user experience, documentation, and engineering teams to build features and products.
- Develop understanding of existing code and make improvements while seeking guidance when needed.
- Contribute to testing, observability, operational excellence, and a strong engineering culture.
Requirements
- Strong motivation to learn, improve technical skills, and grow as a software engineer.
- Knowledge of Python and/or Go, or another modern programming language, with willingness to develop further in Python and Go.
- Hands-on experience with React or another modern front-end framework is beneficial.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn unit, functional, and integration testing.
- Strong verbal and written problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization such as Docker is a plus.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and interest in API design choices is a plus.
