Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack (Golang, Java, Python, AWS)

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Create solutions that meet regulatory needs for Capital One.
- Mentor engineering community members and participate in internal and external technology communities.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Use JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: master’s degree.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience with Golang, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- Preferred: 1+ year of people management experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.
- Preferred: experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.

- Annual base salary varies by location: Chicago, IL $179,400-$204,700; McLean, VA $197,300-$225,100.
